Join our innovative and collaborative team as a highly qualified preschool teacher and empower young minds to become lifelong learners. We`re seeking a licensed Early Childhood Educator with Washington state certification to inspire children ages 3.5-5. This weekend we’re celebrating Our World: Worldwide Day of Play in one of the most playful ways we can imagine — with zucchini cars! 🥒🚗

This afternoon kids got hands-on at the museum building their own veggie vehicles. Tomorrow we’ll be at the Bainbridge Island Farmers Market for The Great Zucchini Race! Stop by starting at 11am to build your own car (while supplies last). Race check-in begins at noon, and the track is open for racing from 12:30–1:30pm.

At KiDiMu, we believe in the power of play. Play isn’t just fun — it’s how kids learn, experiment, create, and connect. Whether it’s problem-solving how to make wheels spin, testing designs, or cheering for a friend’s zucchini car, these playful moments build skills and spark joy that last far beyond race day. Come play, learn, and race with us. We can’t wait to see what you build!

This week we’re sending so much love to our graduating seniors. 🎓

We’ve been lucky enough to have these amazing humans working with us at KiDiMu—bringing their energy, kindness, and heart to our community. From welcoming families with smiles to making the museum a joyful place to play and learn, they’ve given so much, and we are endlessly grateful.

Now they’re all heading off to the University of Washington (GO DAWGS! 🐾💜💛), and we couldn’t be prouder. Thank you for everything you’ve shared with us. Once a part of the KiDiMu family, always a part of the KiDiMu family. 💫

The ice luge is BACK!

Last year’s rocket-ship luge (sponsored by Oliver Sehulster) was such a hit that we couldn’t resist bringing it back for this year’s RAWRing 20s auction. And this time, the fun is fueled by @amymcfarlandrealestate — who’s sponsoring not only the luge, but also the fabulous cups that make the whole experience even better.

✨ These beautifully engraved cups feature our iconic auction dinos, and they’re more than just a party essential — they’re a keepsake. With one in hand, you can have any drink available poured straight down the luge for you to enjoy, and long after the night’s over, you’ll have the perfect souvenir to remember it by.

And who knows… after last year’s auction, the luge famously made its way down Winslow Way to Hitchcock for an after party. We’re not saying it’s going to happen again… but we’re not not saying it either. 😉

🎨🦖 It’s back! One of the most legendary live auction items in KiDiMu history — Paint the Dino!

The winning bidder gets to design the front of our iconic KiDiMu Dino logo (yes, the one that lives proudly on the museum roof) — picking its colors and giving it a whole new look. This year, the forward-facing side will feature your custom design, while you’ll also select a solid color for the back. The photos here show Eden celebrating in front of the Dino she designed two years ago — such a sweet and memorable moment!
